Let's start with a simple fact: Cars from the US of A always had a special place in my heart. Owning old American iron like a 1995 Dodge Viper , a 1969 Mercury Monterey or a 1949 Studebaker Champion Starlight CoupĂ© here in Germany are one proof, but me visiting the USA for nearly 30 times within the last 15 years says it all – I love the country and its car history. Okay, well, truth to be told: Not only because I am german I also have to say that there is a great history of german manufacturers with some interesting, innovative ideas as well. But unfortunately in my opinion many of these german now-classics are not as dramatically designed like for example a Cadillac from the Fifties, they are not as full of life like a 1971 Plymouth Cuda… I could go on for hours talking about what I love about the American car brands and their history, their creativity, their love for details like hiding the fuel filler behind a taillight… But – stop for now!
